It was such an honor to be able to capture this special time in Matt & Kathleen’s life before Baby Mason arrives. I was able to attend their gender reveal and capture their excitement when finding out this sweet bundle is a boy (which is EXACTLY what Kathleen wanted). I could not have been more excited when Kathleen asked to do a maternity session too.
We had the perfect evening at Mack’s Apples in Londonderry, NH. The glow of sunset was perfect lighting. It wasn’t too hot for this 38 week pregnant mama to be. We had such a great time exploring the property with all it has to offer and shared some laughs.
Baby Mason is already so loved and I can’t wait to meet and snuggle him. Kathleen and Matt, you are going to be amazing parents!
As a fellow parent who has recently gone through this newborn phase that you are about to begin – here’s some of my best advice.
Always remember to take care of yourselves, it can be easy to forget about your needs when you have a newborn but your needs matter too! Don’t let your relationship take a back seat. You two are the base of the family and still need that quality time to grow together and remain strong. You are a TEAM! Team work makes the dream work. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and don’t refuse help! It seriously takes a village and there’s no shame in needing help. Trust me on that one, I tried to be superwoman and when I finally gave in – it was more enjoyable. And of course, soak in every moment with Mason. There will be long days (and nights) but the years will be short. Time goes by so fast. I’m hoping I can be there to capture many moments so you can remember it all forever.
