Being a bride taught me so much as a photographer and how to create a better client experience. I was a bride before I was in the wedding industry and in ways I am thankful because it has provided many lessons (the hard way).
When planning my wedding and the only thing we cared about was the dollar sign (big mistake!). When we went to book our photographer it was because of their cheap prices. We hadn’t seen much of their work and quickly signed a contract and gave a deposit, ignoring the red flags. Thankfully we happened to win a free wedding package from a different photographer and backed out of the signed contract. Looking back, their work was not what I envisioned my wedding images being and their skill wasn’t up to that vision either (hence the cheap price tag). You truly get what you pay for ladies! We learned this with the photographer AND the DJ. I wasn’t lying when I said I learned the hard way..
Our experience was not one I’d recommend and honestly would try to avoid if we knew then what we know now, which I don’t want that for my couples. Not only do I want to provide the most beautiful images of your wedding day but also an experience like no other. I focus on being there to help with all aspects of the wedding day not just photography, like vendor recommendations. I also strive to create a friendship with my clients that will last long past the wedding day. One of my favorite things is being able to capture all the special moments from the proposal or engagement to their family growing.
