I’m so thankful that we got these newborn photos done before COVID got crazy and quarantine started. It has been such a joy for me to be able to watch the Poliquin family grow. Starting with Doug and Katie as an engaged couple, to now a family of four.
Since I don’t normally do newborn sessions, except for my previous couples and friends, I sold all my newborn props. I decided the newborns I do take on will be more lifestyle. This being my first lifestyle newborn session, I was unsure how it would go but I’m obsessed.
They cater to the craziness of a newborn needing to eat or sleep and an active toddler. There are no props involved and they capture the family in the natural setting. Even with no frills or props, they are still stunning. I loved being able to catch the candids of a family of four, as well as the frame worthy moments.
Poliquin babies are so darn cute! With baby Elijah, I remember during the session telling Katie and Doug how badly I wanted to become a parent. Only to find out months later I was pregnant! This time with Eleanor, the same thing happened with me wanting another baby. I’m hoping the same thing happens and we can be a family of four soon too!
I love watching Katie and Doug be parents. They are great examples of being a team and have this sense of calmness to them. They balance each other out well. Doug is definitely a baby whisperer and could calm Ellie down in an instant.
Thanks Katie and Doug for choosing me to be part of these memories with your family. It is such an honor and I can’t wait to continue to watch your family grow up.
