Everything about Jorge & Brianna’s winter engagement session was perfect. After a few days of bitter cold temperatures, we had warm(ish) weather and sunshine, beautiful snow, and a quiet Saturday at St Paul’s School to explore. We had perfect lighting at just an hour before sunset. Brianna and Jorge are such a gorgeous couple whose love just radiates.
It was great exploring the different picturesque spots of the school, while talking wedding plans and engagement. I love getting to know my clients better and hear all the plans for the big day. This will be the third wedding that I’ve done for this family. I have captured two of Brianna’s cousins weddings over the years. I am honored to be able to be part of this May 2021 wedding at Church Landing.
Brianna and Jorge’s daughter Ava came along to be in some pictures. At first she was shy, since she was just waking up. But after some m&m’s and a mini snowball fight with me (she started it!) she warmed right up. It brings me a lot of joy to be able to have fun during a session. It helps couples (and kiddos) feel comfortable. I love the images that include Ava and show off their family of three.
In just a quick thirty minutes, we did a loop around St Paul’s School and have four different scenery options for their photos. It was perfect for a winter engagement. Lots of options but within a short distance so we didn’t freeze.
I cannot wait for Jorge and Brianna’s wedding day in May 2021! It’s going to be beautiful with the lake at Church Landing.
Note: permission is needed to shoot at St Pauls School since it is a private school with minors.
