Matt & Stephanie’s Maternity at Bear Brook State Park, Allenstown, NH
Happy Saturday friends! It’s finally the weekend and if you haven’t heard yet — the Landry family growing by two little feet soon!
Today I am going to Stephanie’s baby shower to celebrate her and their sweet little bundle of joy, Savannah. It has been an honor to be able to celebrate with Matt and Stephanie throughout their pregnancy. I was at their gender reveal to capture the big moment of finding out they are expecting a little girl. Then last weekend we went to Bear Brook State Park, in the freezing cold, to take a moment to celebrate the final moments of them as a couple before their family grows. And now today, I get to be a guest at their baby shower.
I’ve known Matt and Stephanie for a while and I’m so excited to see their family grow! They are going to be amazing parents and I’m sure their pups will make great fur siblings.
Matt & Stephanie, as you enter this new chapter in your lives, I’d love to give you some advice that I have learned becoming a parent.
Make sure to spend these last few weeks enjoying the quality time you have just the two of you. Go away for a night or two if you can on a babymoon. It doesn’t have to be expensive or far away but just get away and focus on the two of you. Fill these weeks with dates and special moments.
And once Savannah gets here- Always remember to take care of yourselves, it can be easy to forget about your needs when you have a newborn but your needs matter too! Don’t let your relationship take a back seat. You two are the base of the family and still need that quality time to grow together and remain strong. You are a TEAM! Team work makes the dream work. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and don’t refuse help! It seriously takes a village and there’s no shame in needing help. Trust me on that one, I tried to be superwoman and when I finally gave in – it was more enjoyable. And of course, soak in every moment with Savannah. There will be long days (and nights) but the years will be short.
Time goes by so fast. I’m hoping I can be there to capture many moments so you can remember it all forever.
