I finally got to experience all the emotions that you guys go through as Racine Photography clients last weekend. Marc and I had our own maternity session with my fellow photographer friend, Sarah, who also happened to go to high school with Marc. I did that on purpose so he would be most comfortable and she could loosen him up for the session – it worked! Can you believe it had been 4 years (our wedding) since we had professional pictures taken?!
Before the session, I was nervous and anxious. I was trying to figure out what we should wear, what props to bring, what I should do with my hair, etc. It’s funny how easy it is to be on the back side of the camera and just show up to the session ready with poses compared to prepping to be in front of the camera!
The session was great. We both were at ease and had so much fun. We were laughing and chatting the whole time that the hour flew by! Then the exact feeling I know all of you feel — “I can’t wait to see the pictures!” “I hope she posts a sneak peak soon!” Thankfully she did that night! But then I was constantly checking my email to see if the images had been sent, checking social media for more sneak peaks, I WANTED MORE! And I know you all do the same thing while waiting for me to send over your galleries.
I now understand fully what you go through before, during, and after each session with me! I really do! I also had Sarah take our 4 year anniversary picture. Being a photographer and obsessed with capturing any and all memories possible, every year I make Marc take a photo with me with a chalkboard saying how many years we have been married. Knowing our maternity session was only a week after our anniversary, I let Sarah take this one! Here are a few of our favorites from our session & our anniversary photos Year 1 – 4! Look how much we have changed!
Thanks for living these special moments with me! It’s so fun to share them all with you!
xoxo

Ps. For the FIRST TIME publicly Baby Racine’s name is announced. I’ve been keeping it under wraps, using Baby boy or Baby Racine, unless someone asks but one picture below finally reveals it!
