For those of you who don’t know, I’m taking a ten week photography course to improve my client experience but I want to be better for YOU!
The posing module had homework to book a mini session with an ideal couple to practice. I knew exactly who I wanted to pick for my couple. My sister and brother in law came home to NH to visit for post-deployment leave. Knowing that they had been apart for 9 months, I wanted to give them a gift of a session so they could have some updated images. It also let me relax more and focus on the homework since they are family. I love seeing them together again and happy.
Since it was only 18 degrees and to Texans it might as well have been below zero, I had to reward them with hot coffee to warm up. I made them climb over snowbanks, hold that kiss a little longer, and do “one more shot” in the freezing cold. They were champs though.
Not only am I happy that they came home so they could help me with my homework but also to see my son, their nephew, Bradyn. It was Ben’s first time meeting him and Rachel’s second time seeing him. Time goes by so fast and Bradyn changes quickly so I always love when they get to come visit.
Thanks for being my guinea pigs Rae & Ben. Let’s do another session when you come home and compare then to now! Until next time!
xoxo

PS Ben’s eyes ARE open! Zoom in and you’ll see! And speaking of eyes — Rachel’s are STUNNING!!
