Hi friends! Happy Friday! Today I am going to share with you my top 5 favorite wedding venues that I’d classify as rustic elegance. I hope this helps you when you start to plan your wedding. These are in no particular order since I love them all for different reasons. Here we go!
The Dell Lea is very near and dear to my heart. I got married here in 2014. I absolutely love this venue for its simple, rustic elegance. The outdoor space is beautiful with the fields, gazebo, and views. Inside of the reception space, there is a rustic barn feel with huge picture windows so you can see the views. They have a bridal suite on site. I love that you can enjoy your whole day here, ceremony and reception. Since I got married there, they have switched owners and it’s 100x better than before. The owners and staff are phenomenal. Their food is delicious too! I highly recommend taking a tour and considering the Dell Lea for your special day. Act quick because they book out far in advance.
I have done many weddings at Josiah’s Meetinghouse! Erin, the day of coordinator, is amazing and is right by your side through the whole day. She makes sure all the vendors are on the same page and everything is taken care of. My favorite part of Josiah’s is the big sliding barn doors that open up to reveal the bride as she walks down the aisle. The ceremony space is gorgeous with a gazebo and wooden benches for guests to sit on. Inside the venue is rustic with a barn feel. I love being able to go upstairs and take shots from above of the dance floor. Josiah’s also has a bridal suite to get ready in. I have been at Josiah’s in all types of weather and they have a great spot separate from the reception space for indoor ceremonies if needed. The options for bridal portraits are unlimited.
I have only done one wedding at Linnell Farm but it was so beautiful that I’d love to go back. Again it is rustic but with an elegant touch. You are able to stay right on sight which makes it easy on the bride and groom. There’s a large bridal suite, big enough to have hair and make up come to you! The wedding I did here, had the ceremony in the field and then the reception in the barn. Linnell Farm has many stunning spots for pictures and the ones I took here are my all time favorite. The owners re did the barn and you’d never know that the reception space used to be an old chicken barn.
I have only done one wedding at Thompson Inn & Cyderhouse but it is also relatively new. I can’t wait to go back there. They have a day of coordinator that is right by your side the whole day. They have rooms on site where the bridal party can stay and they rent out the place to you for the weekend. The property is massive with endless opportunities for bridal portraits. The reception space has a barn like feel including a huge stone fireplace. I love the balcony looking over the dance floor, which is where the bride tossed her bouquet from. They have a nice yard off the reception room, where the bride and groom had yard games set up for their guests to play. I highly recommend Thompson Inn & Cyderhouse!
This is a newer venue so I have only done one wedding here last summer. This beautiful venue would be good for a smaller wedding. The reception space is a barn on a hill that overlooks a lake and has gorgeous views. I loved that this venue has family style seating with one long table for the guests to sit at. The owners were so sweet and accommodating to the brides and vendors needs and wants. I happened to be here on the hottest day of the year, and even though there was no air conditioning, the venue was not as hot as I thought it was going to be. The barn had large doors on each side that were opened for a cross breeze from the lake, fans were going, and everyone was having a great time so the heat was an after thought.
I hope this helps you when looking for a venue! After working 50+ weddings, I have quite the list of venues and vendors that I love to work with. I am always just an email away if you’d like to pick my brain during wedding planning.
Happy Wedding Planning!
