One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is being able to build relationships with clients that last! I love being part of their special moments as their lives change and grow. When I sat down to make a list of these types of relationships, many couples came to mind – but today I’m going to talk about one special family – The Poliquin Family.
I met Katie & Doug in October 2015 when we did their engagement session in the beautiful NH fall foliage at Bear Brooke State Park. They were so fun to spend the afternoon with and we clicked instantly! I then captured their wedding day in May 2016, where I felt like I was one of their family members celebrating right along with them.
After their wedding, Katie reached out to me to do a large family session to surprise her mom for Mother’s Day, which was a really cool surprise with all the kids, grandkids, and even the great-grandparents!
In 2017, Katie, Doug, and I met up again at the beach to capture more special memories, their maternity session. Katie was glowing and they both were so excited to meet baby Poliquin in a few short months.
Then in November 2017, when that sweet baby boy was born, I showed up with coffee in hand (must have for new parents) to snuggle that baby boy and do his newborn session. Katie and Doug were able to sip their coffee and relax while Elijah and I got to work (he slept the whole time!) I remember how bad my baby fever was after that morning!
Being able to watch their love and family grow and being able to make these memories last forever so they can look back on them is the best part of my job! Poliquin Family, I can’t wait for our next session!
